The Elders were made aware of it. In the organization I am associated with it makes no difference where it occurs we pickup the phone and call authorities if we suspect any form of child abuse. It could have occurred anywhere.

The Elders of two congregations knew of these activities from the time she was 14 years old. Someone transported this underage child (14 she was privately reproved and 15 publicly reproved for her part in this child sexual abuse) across state lines. I find this entire thing disgusting that the Elders would find the victim the sinner!! The parents, Elders, and any one who answered a phone call at the branch from the WT should all be fined and jailed. But this is a civil case so I hope she got several million.
Anyone who try to defends the actions of anyone of these people are just as sick as the perverts.

I was never a JW and ended up on this forum when I got dumped by the "Elder " after 5 yrs for asking the wrong question cause he never told me about his beliefs.
I do not at all get your last statement when everything I hear about is field service and Bible Study to prepare for Baptism. How is this pretty ridiculous, based on experiences from this forum and other sites that is not to ridiculous. Please explain this statement you made:
What the complaint set out in this case was pretty ridiculous in my opinion. In the complaint it talks about how Watchtower should prevent all interaction between any adult and child. Should monitor all activities of congregation members and so forth.

Maybe one day someone will put $1,000 into the contribution box and say where the hell is this money going too? See when I contribute $1,000 to the Shriner's Hospital I get a thank you note in the mail along with some nice pictures of some great kids we have helped AND oh wait and their financial statements and upcoming budgets. Thank you for sharing your story. I was never a JW. But grew up in a very abusive home. I also lost my first son in during childbirth. Congratulations on the twins. I went on to have two kids they are now 31 and 25.
Great job on getting involved with the charity work, it is my biggest passion.
Please keep us posted how things are going for you two.

Never a JW and never in a KH, I have to totally agree with you. I know the case I assisted with was my girlfriend's husband for abusing his kids and I wanted to personally strangle the man with my bare hands but knew I would end up prison for murder leaving my kids without their mother.
BUT, then I have watched so many of these JC's and listened to these Elders and actually don't even think they have a clue what reality is all about. I think about the bunker video, then the upcoming ARC in March, the advertisement from the law firms -- do you think any of the current Elders have connected the dots that they may be put under the bus in very short order by the WT. Elders who have made it to this forum have woke up and seen the lies but how many are still wearing those blindfolds.

My comment about the birth certificate verses the tax return was because I am so OVER this bloody election. If I recall the election 8 years ago when Obama became the President there was some outcry but nothing like this continues mud slinging, demonstrations. So we put up with Obama for the not next 4 years but 8 years giving away every possible tax dollar he could come up with to people who flipping do not want to get off their butts and work. Well I think the hard working American tax payers are DONE with the US tax deficit.

I raised my children in that big city, yes Washington DC, they started in private bilingual international schools starting at the age of 2 1/2. They were exposed to all cultures, religions and almost every nationality, these people entered the country legally. My children now adults are accepting as I of people for who THEY are on the inside NOT on the outside!
My choice for President has always been and always will be for the candidate who will spend my Hard work for Tax dollars wisely and not be throwing it away.
You be the judge as to who you think I voted for.
Trust me I am not paying for any food stamps or welfare or housing assistance for any young one to go pioneer!! That is plain BS!!!! Just saying I was 40 when my husband had a stroke I had a new born and 6 yr old, a mortgage designed for two career people in DC. That 6 yo was already in a pricey private school. NOPE, did not get any gov't help JUST I took on more clients made up the lost income!!!

Obama had no excuse not to turn over his birth certificate immediately. This is a one page document issued at birth - real simple. UNLESS, You are one of those unlucky one's like me. I never actually needed mine till I was 62 then I could not get it because my just NOT so wonderful mother lied to me my entire life and never told me what my true birth name was. It took us 3 months of guessing games to figure out who I really was. Then we found my birth certificate.
NOW, for Trump's tax return that could be a very complicated issue. The man has many business ventures. Personal tax returns are due April 15th, as long as you have the taxes paid by the 4/15th deadline you may file for 3 month extention to file. This very well maybe necessary for someone in his position, as I have seen it done many times because some of the business ventures maybe partnerships. The partnership tax returns must be completed before Trump can complete his. BUT if the partnership files for an extension that delays the partnership's return and further delays Trump's return. Once Trump's return is filed it maybe subject to audit and if that is the case then he would not be willing to release it to the public until the matter is resolved. There are some clients it actually takes up to two to three years to finalize a tax return with the IRS and God forbid there is a nightmare return you don't even want to know how long and how many days in court it takes before that will get resolved. The US tax code is a nightmare - I hate it!! It needs to be revamped probably put through a shredder!! Although I am very capable of doing my own tax return, I pay someone $375 each year to do it for me just so that there signature is on that line that says prepared by. Because I do not play with the big boys.
